Network Rules

In order to maintain a safe, fun environment for our players, there are a few rules we ask you to follow. Please read them carefully!

These rules may change at any time. It's your responsibility to remain up to date. Major changes will be announced.

Global Rules

These rules apply everywhere on the network unless contradicted by another scoped rule.

Preface

  • Loopholing any rules and/or attempting to bypass any automatic moderation we have in place will carry stricter punishments than if you had not evaded them.
  • For moderation purposes, the only language we allow to be communicated in on the server is english.
  • If you're confused whether or not something is against the rules, ask a staff member; ignorance to the rules is not a valid excuse. It's your responsibility to get informed on things you don't understand.

1. Communications Abuse

You're expected to be kind and respectful to all other players at all times. The following fall under this rule:

  • Toxicity
  • Spamming and/or flooding
  • Inappropriate conversations / jokes / topics
  • Bullying / targetting another player
  • Unnecessary / excessive cursing
  • Bullying
  • Advertising (including "dm me for invite" or similar)
  • Creating / continuing drama
  • Begging

A general rule of thumb is if you wouldn't want others saying something to you, don't say it to them. It's better to say nothing at all than to be toxic.

2. Platform Abuse

Platform abuse is defined for each platform below as platform-specific rules, please follow those as well as avoiding the following disallowed activities / actions:

  • Charging back / refunding any payment without the authorization of our team
  • Using VPNs or proxies
  • Abusing any platform specific feature to harm the experience of other players or the security / wellbeing of the network
  • Abusing any form of exploits (please report them!)

3. Presentation

Your public presentation (profiles, skins, names, cosmetics, etc) must be in accordance with all of our network rules. You will be asked to change them if they aren't.

4. Account Abuse

The trading, selling, buying, or sharing of any accounts are strongly prohibited on our network.

5. Illegal Affairs

If you are found to be in relation to any form of illegal activity, you will be permanently blacklisted from the network. This includes:

  • Threats to perform illegal activity (DDoS, doxx threats, etc)
  • Crashing or attempting to crash any service (including MCParty)
  • Conduct which violates the U.S. Code or applicable state / international laws
  • Severe abuse of exploits and/or bugs to create major harm
  • Predatory and/or pedophilic behaviour

6. Staff Interference

You're expected to play your part in keeping the server safe and fun for everyone. This includes the following expectations / rules:

  • If you see a rule violation, please report it.
  • Interfering with the duties of staff is prohibited (ex. providing false evidence in reports, acting like a moderator / spreading misinformation, attempting to waste staff's time)
  • If you're entrusted with confidential staff information (information about active investigations is included), please keep it private. You can be punished for leaking it.
  • Using alternative accounts to evade or bypass disciplinary actions performed by staff is strictly prohibited.

7. Network Identity

You are not allowed to participate in / organize any activity which portrays our network's identity without approval from an admin. This includes external / third-party giveaways for in-game perks.
YouTube videos, livestreams, and personal social media posts are exempted from this rule as long as they do not include falsehoods / misinformation about the network.

8. Environment & User Experience

You're expected to do your part in protecting and maintaining a positive experience for other players. Engaging in any conduct which damages the environment (being intentionally annoying, begging, etc) is not allowed.

Minecraft Platform Rules

These rules apply everywhere on our Minecraft server.

1. Unfair Advantage

Using any form of game modifications or abusing features / bugs / concepts to give yourself an advantage over other players. For example:

  • Using hacked clients
  • Blacklisted / disallowed modifications
  • Using alternative accounts to boost stats or bypass punishments / limitations
  • Using macros / scripts
  • Certain "legitimate" activities (freezing / toggling internet, freezing game via debug menu)

2. Game Abuse

Using any in-game features to break any other rules (ex. inappropriate builds), cross-teaming, team griefing.

3. Platform Abuse (ex)

  • Switching instances needless quickly

Discord Platform Rules

These rules apply everywhere on our Discord server.

1. Platform Abuse (ex)

The following conduct is not allowed:

  • Any conduct which violates the Discord Terms of Service
  • Direct messaging members to violate rules in private messages
  • Abusing issues with bots and/or server setup (report it!)
  • Abusing, misusing, or trolling the support ticket system in any way

2. Presentation (ex)

Your server displayed profile must be in accordance with our rules. This means your profile picture and display name. If your bio, status, or banner is in violation of our rules, you'll only be punished if you draw attention to it, or you have a hoisted role and/or are visible with minimal scrolling.
